Wells, 69, and his wife, Aileen Wells, who were found deceased inside their Newburgh home in what authorities are investigating as a suspected murder-suicide.
According to the Warrick County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the couple’s Hannah Court residence on Monday evening, July 6, after receiving a request for a welfare check. When officers arrived at the home, they entered through a back door and discovered both David and Aileen deceased inside.
Authorities said the couple appeared to have been dead for less than 24 hours when they were found. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding their deaths as they work to determine what led to the tragic incident.
